"Men for others"

Loyola encourages students to use their gifts and talents
in service to others and become "Men For Others."

Every year students engage in community service that culminates
in the Senior Christian Service Program from 8 a.m. to 10
a.m. every Tuesday morning.

Placements include Manna Meals Soup Kitchen, St. Christines
Soup Kitchen, Canticle Café (St. Als Warming
Center), St. Patricks Senior Center, Gesu Elementary,
Christ the King Elementary and Focus: HOPE Center for Children.

As part of our community service emphasis, we set aside one
day in January for a school-wide Day of Service to honor the
legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Tuition

Tuition for the 2010-11 school year is $4,000 with a 10% discount
for the second son from the same family. Full tuition covers less
than one third of the actual cost to educate a student which is
over $13,000. As a result, our development program heavily subsidizes
every student.

Loyola uses the Smart Tuition Management Program to help families
stay on schedule with their tuition payments. Tuition is divided
into 10 monthly payments over the school year.

Tuition Deposit Required

A minimum, non-refundable tuition deposit of $100 is required
for every new student and is applied toward the students
tuition balance.

Senior Graduation Fee

A $150 graduation fee ( includes yearbook) for seniors will be
billed separately at the beginning of the second semester.

Tuition Assistance Programs

aid is available every year and is awarded in the order of completed

Pathways To Success

Pathways To Success is a program that assists students by rewarding
them scholarships to attend Pathways Partner Schools in return
for doing a required amount of work or community service hours.
Loyola High School is the only Pathways Partner in Southeast Michigan.
The Commonweal Foundation in Silver Springs, Maryland, funds the
Pathways program.

Award amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed
$4,000 per academic year. Every Pathways family is expected to
re-apply every year and renewed scholarships are based on student
progress, fulfillment of community service hours and demonstrated
work.
