Team members and Coach Flake celebrate their Catholic League honors. Bulldogs ’07 Track – And We Thought Last Season Was Good! Congratulations to Head Coach Sherman Flake ’97 and Loyola parent Lawsonja Robinson for another great season. The ’07 Bulldogs won their second consecutive C/D sectional championship with an undefeated dual-meet season and 3rd place in the Track & Field Regionals in Brown City. Mike Davis ‘07 and David Shockley ‘08, along with the 800-meter relay team, competed in the Operation Friendship Track Meet at Renaissance High School. This meet brings together the best athletes in the Detroit Public Schools and the Catholic League to compete for All-City honors. David Shockley was the All-City champion in the long jump. Mike Davis, David Shockley, and the 400-meter relay team qualified for the state meet, where Mike Davis finished 3rd and earned an All-State ranking with a 6’2" jump. All-Catholic recognition was earned by Trayon Nash ’09 (200 meters), David Shockley (long jump), and Mike Davis (high jump). DeAngelo Harris ’09 passes the baton to Trayon Nash ’09.
