Loyola High School nurtures a culture of hope and academic success
for young men in Detroit through the academic and extracurricular
activities described on this website. Tuition provides only about
18% of our annual revenues. To help us to make good on our commitment
to meet the demonstrated need of every family, Loyola relies on
an extensive network of friends who support our mission.

To support the Loyola Bulldog family,
many options are available:

1) Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal is the single most important part of the various
fundraising efforts needed to meet our ambitious Development goal
of $950,000 for this school year.

Please consider one of the following contributions:
$10,000 -- awards a full scholarship
to educate one student
$5,000 -- provides _ year scholarship for one student
$2,000 -- affords tuition assistance for families with
economic need
$1,000 -- contributes to books and classroom material fund
$500 -- sustains the religious formation program
$250 -- equips the athletic program
$100 -- provides faculty professional development
$50 -- secures a student field trip

3) Faith in the Future Campaign
Several years ago Loyola High School launched a very ambitious,
comprehensive campaign entitled Faith in the Future. The
goal for the campaign is $12 million:

$10 million for the schools permanent endowment fund to
help support:
Tuition assistance
Staff wages and benefits, and
Program needs of the school

$2 million for major capital needs.

To date, $9 million has been raised or pledged.

We will officially close the campaign in June 2010.

If you would like to help us reach our goal, or learn more, please
contact Fr. Dave Mastrangelo, S.J. (313-861-2407x102); dmastrangelo@loyolahsdetroit.org.

4) Magis Society

estate plans. Magis is a word that means "more," in
the sense of increased generosity and selflessness. Learn

5) Fr. Carron Scholarship Dinner
The Fr. Malcolm Carron, S.J., Scholarship Dinner was held at Sacred
Heart Major Seminary in Detroit last October. Archbishop Allan
Vigneron presided at the Mass and offered warm words of support
for Loyola during the dinner that followed.

With over 200 friends in attendance, the party raised approximately
$105,000 for scholarship assistance. During the program, with
members of her family gathered on stage, Loyolas late Director
of Development, Kitty Storen, was honored for her tireless efforts
on behalf of Loyola.

Stay tuned for information on the 2010 Carron Scholarship Dinner.
